Customer Reference Program Maturity Model Podcast – Element 9: Staff Composition, Organization & Perspective

May 19th, 2009 · No Comments · Customer Reference Program Maturity Model Podcasts, Customer Reference Programs, Podcasts

In this podcast, the tenth in the Customer Reference Program Maturity Model series, David and I talk about the formation of an effective reference management team. Effectiveness is enabled by having the right number of resources, the right personalities and skill sets relative to the key roles in the program. We see 4 distinct roles: the strategist, the recruiter, the fulfillment specialist, and the content/database manager. Sometimes these are held by a single reference manager, other times by a team.

If you’re interested in finding out where your program is on the maturity model curve and how you compare to others in the industry, we invite you to take this Customer Reference Program Maturity online assessment. If you’d like to learn how one company deployed some of these metrics to show the executives the positive impact their program was having on sales productivity read this white paper.

Next week we’ll cover the tenth element of the Maturity Model: Program Promotion. Stay tuned!

As always, your comments and insights are welcome.
